Over the weekend you chose a columnist to study for the course of the semester. You will apply what you learn from your columnist in your own writing.
Today, read through the article you have brought with you and annotate for stylistic choices the author makes.
Use the rhetoric triangle to show how the author maintains (or doesn’t) his or her ethos through a balanced (or not) argument (logos, pathos).
Write a brief paragraph at the end of the article explaining the author’s style and how it is affective. Turn in to Brock at the end of the hour.
